Need help finding support for your mental health?
Together for Mental Wellbeing is a provider of mental health services in locations around England. The majority of the people who use our services are referred by social care and healthcare workers through the NHS or local authorities, by other VCSE organisations or by agencies working in the criminal justice system.
We are not able to provide direct access mental health support, advice and guidance to members of the public. If you are looking for help, for yourself or someone else, the organisations below may be able to assist you.
If you are in distress and need immediate help, these numbers may be of help:
- Samaritans offer confidential and non-judgmental emotional support whenever you need someone to talk to. They’re available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Call 116 123
- FRANK provides information and advice about drugs. Call 0300 123 6600
Mind provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. Call 0300 123 3393. Open 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday (except for bank holidays). You can ask about – mental health problems, where to get help near you, treatment options and advocacy services - Anxiety UK provide a helpline to help people with their anxiety call 03444 775774
If you’re under 35 and struggling with suicidal feelings, or concerned about a young person who might be struggling, you can call Papyrus HOPELINEUK on 0800 068 4141 (weekdays 10am-10pm, weekends 2pm-10pm and bank holidays 2pm–10pm) - If you identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender, you can call Switchboard on 0300 330 0630 (10am–10pm every day)
If you’re under 25, you can call The Mix on 0808 808 4994 (Sunday-Friday 2pm–11pm) - Shout can help if you’re experiencing a personal crisis, are unable to cope and need support. For support in a crisis, text Shout to 85258 with urgent issues such as:
- Suicidal thoughts
- Abuse or assault
- Self-harm
- Bullying
- Relationship challenges
