Working alongside people experiencing mental distress on their journey towards greater wellbeing is extremely rewarding. As one of the UK’s leading mental health charities, we offer a wide range of jobs working within the area of mental health social care.
These roles can be in different areas of support including our Advocacy work, our model of community support, Criminal Justice Mental Health services, accommodation based support in CQC-registered and supported housing services across the country.
Whatever the job, we seek to enable people to lead fulfilling and independent lives by providing information, advice and offering emotional, practical and personalised support with everyday activities. We do this through our principles of service user leadership, empowering people to make choices that affect their lives, lead their journey to wellbeing on their own terms and to collectively influence and improve services, organisations and society.
Some positions require specific skills and experience, but others are suitable for people with no previous experience or qualifications in the field of mental health. Hear from Tim about his experience of joining us:
Whether you’ve just graduated, returning to work after having children, or have taken early retirement and would like a part-time job that has value and meaning for you, we might be able to help. We look to be flexible as an employer and listen to the needs of our staff to provide a kind, caring and inclusive environment, that allows our workforce to utilise their skills and experience to support the people we work alongside.
We are also a supportive organisation, evidenced in our most recent employee survey, and we offer great opportunities to learn and develop.
